Why We Started This

VBRNTT is a women-owned community built around books, creativity, and the kind of friendships that get harder to come by after a certain age. We've been doing this for over three years across Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

When I moved to Utah, I struggled to find my people and craved a space to connect, create, and feel at home. So I built one.

It started as one book club. It turned into golf days, craft nights, pool parties, business mixers, retreats and a romance book fair that travels — because what people actually wanted was a reason to show up.

Every event is women only and open format. No pressure to have finished the book. No pressure to be a reader at all. Come because you want to be in a room with people who'll be glad you did.

    Co-host, Banned Book Club · Founder of BOOKTALKSLC

    With a background in marketing, design, and communications, Chloe founded BOOKTALKSLC to give Salt Lake readers a place to gather, a reason to speak up, and an excuse to buy more books than their shelves can hold. She now co-hosts the Banned Book Club with VBRNTT, where the plan is simple: read the books Utah keeps trying to take away, grab a craft, and talk about them anyway. Her mission is to keep everyone's stories on the shelf, preferably face-out.

    Off the clock, she's at home with her husband and their four fur babies (two dogs, two cats, zero respect for personal space), hunting down SLC's next best latte, or curled up in the park with a book someone, somewhere, tried to ban.
